Despite being so familiar with RPGs, sitting down to make one constantly has me thinking "Wait, so how did they do that?" Even seemingly "obvious" things like an item list. This uses multiple cursors, each with their own x and y range, allowing for the vertical menu on the left, the horizontal menu on the top of the Items menu as well as a 2-dimensional one for the item list.
Plus that sexy blinking.
Figuring out how to "scroll" the list was a fun challenge. Basically each cursor not only has its range, but its "scroll" range, which allows it to work like it does.(Now doing Final Fantasy like sorting is my current goal and handling the selected cursor and the selecting cursor is being a bit of a challenge.
