Games I beat in 2015 - #33: Sam and Max Hit the Road
A LucasArts flier showed up at my house at one point in my childhood before we had a computer. So I could only look upon the images of games like Day of the Tentacle and Sam and Max in awe of how crazy good these games looked. More puzzles! Crazy graphics! Talking!
Sam and Max Hit the Road is weird as hell. I have no idea if the game was trying to make fun of the player or not. Although, the ending scene of our heroes shooting at the screen might answer that question.
While most of the adventure games I play go on for a while before I take out a guide to finish some of the more difficult puzzles, I kept a guide nearby Sam and Max from the start. Half of the puzzles made no sense and the other two-thirds I have no idea how I'd figure out.
The dialogue made it well worth the time.
