After lunch today was the "Big Clean" as it were, and I was tasked with helping the fifth graders. Since they are "in charge" of a lot of things for graduation, I found the classroom completely empty after the "main" cleaning was over, yet there was still dust everywhere. So I gave it a good sweeping. A good half hour of sweeping and got a lot of dust out of places that haven't been touched in what I imagine might even be years. When some of the students returned they were shocked by the pile of crap that I had swept up.
While that was an interesting response, the best part of it all was how relaxed I felt after spending that time just sweeping the floor. I am not even sure what I thought about during that time or even if I was thinking. But I swept and it was good.
