Wii U VC
Contra (MSX): ¥823 Can you imagine a single player Contra? MSX versions of games are always so interesting to read about and wonder why they exist. It sounds like a lot was changed to get it onto this system. Moving from scrolling areas to single screens. No multiplayer. The latter half is newly made, underground areas and the beginning is from the arcade release. A curiosity to be sure, but at a high price.
Super Mario Advance 3 (GBA): ¥702 (¥700 cart-only, ¥1350 complete on Suruga-ya I wonder why they would release this and not the Super Famicom version which they would sell for more given their pricing rates. Is there something "superior" to this version? Other than having yet another way to play Mario Bros.? The GBA releases were primarily exciting for their portability, something lacking when played on the Wii U.
Street Fighter 2010 (Famicom): ¥514 (¥2450 cart-only, ¥5900 complete on Suruga-ya Hey, so that 3DS Virtual Console library is slowly becoming an entire subset of the Wii U Virtual Console. Which would mean... Probably nothing.
Dig Dug (Famicom): ¥514 (¥1200 cart-only, ¥3140 complete on Suruga-ya Speaking of nothing! Ha, I kid. Strangely, I never associate Dig Dug with the NES and only the Commodore 64 in which I exploded many an underground being with that awful, awful joystick.
