Pizza on top of pizza


Ten dollars[ref]Well, ¥990.[/ref]. All you can eat pizza. Lots and lots of water. That was probably the healthiest part of what I did to myself today. The water, I mean. I think you know that. But I just want to be sure. That brown stuff? Curry. For dipping the crust. Not a lot of cash for about an hour and a half with friends and lots of food. Did not even need dinner. Still not hungry yet.


But something happened. Look to the left. Oh yeah. That is dessert pizza. Custard for the sauce slash cheese. Marshmallows, strawberries and chocolate chips for the toppings. Delicious. The special. The thing everyone wanted.

They were not making enough of it.

We were nearing the end of our time and we asked. They said “fifteen minutes”. We waited. They called out that this particular pizza was being served. We lined up. The laws of lines began to get fuzzy as people realized that the pizza would not last the demand that the crowd was about to put on it. One person took two slices. I took mine. My friends took theirs. People were murmuring about the fact that this delicacy may not make it to their bellies today. I wondered if there was going to be a “”rumble”“. This was the most intense that I have ever felt about a piece of food.

It was delicious.
