So one of the main things I “learned” from Getting Things Done was to get everything out of my head and into something to keep track of it. This is easier said than done. So easy. Because I would think I had everything out. But “everything” was not really everything.
I would think my teaching schedule need not be fully managed by stuff like OmniFocus, and yet now that I am slowly integrating it all into there, I feel a weight lifting off of my shoulders and a confidence that I have not had before begin to come around. Everything really does mean everything.
It seems weird to make a note to thank someone the next time I see them. But it works. To an extent it really does feel like I am “relying on technology too much” but on the other hand I am the one utilizing the technology. I am the one putting the pieces together. And I am the one benefiting.
