Playing Gyakuten Saiban on my iPhone has been a fairly good experience, mechanically speaking. I am certainly making progress, which is the goal, after all. The story has been the real charming point, though. Seeing all of these characters come together at the end to make a story that did not really need to be in the game to make it enjoyable rally shows the level of care that went into crafting this game.
I am on case four and a fair chunk of the story would just not work were it the first case. On top of that, this chunk does not even feel as if the story would be incomplete without it. Worse off, absolutely. But it delivers just that right about of entertainment that can only be achieved by becoming attached to characters over time.
