Thanks to a cool video I was shown today as a part of some advice in regards to subaku, I realized I really need to rewrite a core part of the game to make it more accessible to people. It is something I knew in the back of my head, but this video really helped me to realize what and how.
So I am going through and changing up the visual cues for the game. I showed it to my wife and she (a non-gamer) found it a bit more easy to understand. This is a good sign. I have a few more things to do to fix it up, and in the process I am learning a lot more about (core?) animation on iOS, so it is a win-win.
I really hope this will help people who have found subaku to be a bit confusing and help spread the fun that I think people really can have with the game.
