Of all the goals that I set out to complete in 2012, the one I'm most surprised that I met was the weight one.
After a lot of reading, I don't believe in resolutions anymore. But goals, goals are still something really real.
One cool thing about goals is that they can shift. They can move. They feel much more flexible than a "resolution" which feels as if it can only be one thing ever. The best thing, however, is that they are not all or nothing. I had a goal to read fifty books. I didn't. However, I did read more than zero. I had a goal to finish my first game. I did not. However, I got it over seventy percent done.
I made significant progress towards all of my goals, even the ones I didn't meet. That feels so much more satisfactory and is oh so much more productive.
