Brilliant

I've enjoyed watching the Kaizo Mario videos because they are hilarious and also a great example of persistence. One to make something insane and two to conquer it.

This stage, however, I just cannot get over. It is so good. It just manages to capture so many proper aspects of true gaming. It constantly ups the ante. It constantly keeps you on your toes. It is never nice even when it wants you to think it is.

As impressive as this stage design is, what really shines to me is how impressive Super Mario World is in general. Yes, it took a hell of a lot of thought and work to design this. Yet the fact that this was all capable within the rule set of a game released almost twenty two years ago just blows my mind.
